SKY7000 is multi-payment support board that integrates Smart Card Reader (SKY5000/5100) IC and Magnetic Stripe Reader (SKY3700B) with Renesas' CPU(RZ/G2UL). This RZ/G2UL microprocessor includes a Cortex®-A55 (1.0GHz) CPU, a 16-bit DDR4 interface, and a simple LCD controller. It also has many interfaces such as camera input, display output, USB 2.0, and Gb-Ethernet.
SKY7000 consists of a module board and a carrier board. The module board includes CPU and payment ICs.
The carrier board is equipped with MIPI camera, LCD, audio, Ethernet, MSR, SCR, UART, SPI and GPIO interfaces.
SKY7000 provide 2 channels ISO-7816 smart card interface, 3 tracks of magnetic card data and QR barcode recognition that comply with ISO and EMV standards. Each recognized data is decoded into information necessary for payment through an internal algorithm of the board, and the result can be output to an LCD screen to be checked.
Maximum 12.5V input power is sourced via a USB-C connector and managed via a single-chip Renesas DA9062 system PMIC.
Onboard memory includes 1GB DDR4 SDRAM, 64GB eMMC and 16MB QSPI flash memory, plus microSD slot for removable data.
Hardware supports mechanical and electrical protocols for the EMV Level 1 certification.
